what is the red bull flügtag?
flügtag means "flying day" in german, but, more importantly, it's american for a bunch of creative geniuses
strapping themselves to totally outrageous homemade, human-powered flying machines and launching themselves
off a 30-foot ramp into the wild blue yonder, or, alternatively, straight into the water.
this was just what gReGo needed to make a splash after relocating to chicago in the spring of 2003. so, gReGo quickly
submitted designs to red bull and his design was one of only 36 chosen from more than 400 entries.
the red hot flyer was born, an eight-foot chicago-style hot dog with wings made almost entirely out of cardboard and papier-mâché. gReGo also secured sponsorship from
local vendors including vienna beef and rosen's bakery. click here to see more about gReGo's red hot flyer.
